This school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU. This funding was used to purchase a set of new Apple IPADS, a charging trolley and we purchased some headphones and Otterbox protections cases.  These IPADS were used to support learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a result of the digital divide and to give them access to IT equipment that they would never previously had the opportunity to do so at home.  We also loaned out these devices to families that did not have access to computers or tablets during lockdown. Our school used this equipment as part of the many projects and programmes we take part in such as Science Blast, Erasmus, Ocean Explorers, Lego League and Vex Robotics.
